I have a question… Did you have a New Year’s resolution? I did!
Here is another question… Are you too sinking back into the routine and have nearly lost that drive you had when you set the goal? I am right there with you.
God had given me the word “intentional” for this year, and I thought I was nailing it.
A healthier lifestyle, pursuing personal goals, keeping up with two active boys, and maintaining our home…
Slowly, but surely, anxiety and insecurity have clouded my thoughts and in turn affected my ultimate goals.
I needed a kick in the butt and then I read this quote…
“Discipline is deciding between what you want NOW, versus what you want MOST”.
And there is was, the push I needed to get back on the saddle.
We do not need a New Year, to get us pumped up on new goals.
We need discipline to maintain those desires and to push us into reaching those goals.
The excitement of a New Year is awesome; it is fireworks, bubbles, and giggles. (Can you tell I am a mom by my description of excitement?)
Those things all have a short life.
They are but ashes, watered down soap, and humor and they can only get you so far…
BUT the anticipation of living your best life ever right now? THAT will help drive your decisions, and in turn, realistically guide you to your final goal.
Discipline is not meant to hold you back, but it is meant to push you forward into the better things life has to offer.
Jump on it, and get your butt back into gear.
I dare you to BE DISCIPLINED.
